The Years & Years actor is set to replace Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor from Doctor Who. T'Nia has previously played The Newly Regenerated General in the Twelfth Doctor story 'Hell Bent' of Series 9 before becoming the Doctor.
Although, This isn't the first time the Timelord has taken another Timelord's face, as Colin Baker played Gallifreyan Maxil before he became the Sixth Doctor.
We have collected some transcripts from our Interview with T'Nia:
"So, what's it like becoming the Doctor from the General?"
"It's fantastic. Although we haven't started filming yet, I know Russell has some amazing ideas for Doctor Who, as I've worked with him on Years & Years."
"Right. Do you know when you will start filming?"
"No. It's still a matter of time before my Companion is cast so I think It'll take a while. Although, I'd love Lydia West as my Companion."
"How do you feel becoming the Doctor?"
"I couldn't be happier, because when I've got that phone call saying Hello to the new Doctor, I was like, Whaaat? Are they talking to me? Then I got that moment of "Am I the next Doctor?" So I asked them, and they said I will be the next Doctor. And so I screamed and jumped out of excitement. I had a very sore throat the next day!"
