Harris County Police authorities are trying to determine if there are still people to evacuate and how risky access is for tenants to search their property. This was after a fire broke out in an old building on Bonhomme Rd in southwest Houston.
Apparently the building was going to be demolished in 2022 to build a new, more modern multi-family apartment building, but the fire has helped this to happen more quickly.
According to the Harris County Fire Department, the most likely cause is overheating of an electric filter coffee maker. As detailed, in a suite that was used for teaching ESL, the coffeemaker never had coffee, and it only got hot day after day until the fire started.
Damages are still to be determined, but what is certain is that students will still not be able to return to class, until the end of the day of the innocent saints.
