The University of Kentucky had a great start to their 2022 season, going 4-0 into week 5. They suffered a loss against the University of Mississippi, 22-19, in Oxford, MS. Into week 6, the cats were geared up to play South Carolina, fans were still behind them despite the loss to Ole Miss the following week. But they could not pull through and lost to the Gamecocks.
They came back to get a win against Mississippi State on Oct. 15, 2022. After seeing Tennessee beat one of the top undefeated teams in the country and National Champion title holder, Mark Stoops has decided to call the game against them on Oct. 29, 2022. Though the cats have a 5-2 season, Stoops thinks it is best to avoid a painful away game loss. As well so they can prepare further for the upcoming game against no. 1 Georgia on Nov. 19, 2022, in Lexington, KY.
