As Long Island continues to battle COVID-19, it is faced with another deadly epidemic, teen alcoholism. Teen alcoholism has ravaged Long Island from its north to south shores. One Syosset resident recalls the moment a teen seemingly overdosed on alcohol. She told News 12, “It was the worst I’ve ever seen a guy.” Video footage depicts an 18 year old Syosset male collapsed on a driveway. Bystanders attempt to wake the unconscious teen, with one seemingly checking for a pulse. It was reported that the teen fortunately survived, despite vomiting and collapsing multiple times.
