Calhoun county sheriff deputies were involved in a shooting on cherry street in battle creek michigan earlier today. A calhoun county sheriff deputy got a call of shots heard and screaming heard on the corner of cherry street at 1:38 pm. The deputy arrived at 1:46 pm The deputy exited his patrol vehicle and then he started to get shot at right away. He pressed the ''panic'' button on his ''walkie talkie'' and 3 minutes later 4 battle creek police units showed and and exited their vehicles and shot at the suspects right away. Battle creek police say there were 5 shooters and they all had ''handguns'' 3 suspects surrendered and got arrested while there were still 2 shooters left but battle creek police say they have shot them down nobody else was hurt at the time but 1 shooter was confirmed dead and the other one went to the hospital. if you see a shooting on cherry street please dial 911 immediately for sheriff deputies or battle creek police or a state trooper, There was detectives on cherry street and they were investigating the scene, The police left at 2:07 pm.
