Roblox is free-to-play, with in-game purchases available through a virtual currency called "Robux". As of August 2020, Roblox has over 164 million monthly active users, with it being played by over half of all children aged under 16 in the United States. The Roblox Corporation, which develops, publishes, and operates the game, has an estimated $29.5 billion valuation as a result of this large playerbase.
Though, if your kids play Roblox, I think you should tell them about their last few months of playing the game. David Baszuki, CEO of Roblox, made a statement earlier today.
"We're sorry to say, but Roblox has gone bankrupt. Mass inflation of the ROBLOX economy resulted in less Robux sales, which killed off our profits. We need money to run this company, which we no longer have. Thank you for listening."
Linkmon99, a wealthy Roblox user and YouTube Star, says "It's sad to see Roblox go, but in the end, it was for the better."
