Macopin Middle School in West Milford, New Jersey really took furry friends to the next level. Macopin decided to replace half of their staff with highly trained dogs, their furry friends became their furry teachers!! Mrs.Ventolo one of the math teachers that is still a staff member says, “I think it is a great idea! They do a pretty good job, for a dog!” Though Mrs.Ventolo has a positive outlook on this major change, some teachers do not. Here is Mr. Joecks, a science teacher that was replaced “When I found out I was losing my job to a Golden Retriever I was SHOCKED! I feel like most people would be, I am upset and I hope the school comes to their senses, FAST!” I’m sure you’re all wondering who is behind all of this? Mr. Citro, the principal at Macopin Middle School is behind all of these crazy ideas! “Don’t get me wrong, I love the staff at Macopin, but dogs are not high maintenance. Give them a treat and they will do whatever you want!” Well, there you have it everybody these dogs are less maintenance and with a treat, you can have them in the palm of your hand.
